our Farm and Vineyard…
Lydia Grove is an estate rooted in the land and designed for gathering. Set on a historic Mellencamp family farm in Seymour, Indiana, the property brings together open space, thoughtful design, and a shared appreciation for celebration in all its forms.
Why the name “Lydia Grove”? Lydia was the last member of the Mellencamp family to steward this land before it was sold outside the family many years ago. Now that it has returned to the family, we are honoring the land’s history while welcoming new beginnings.
It has recently been sold back to the Mellencamp family and is now owned and operated by Chad and Sarah “Sadie” (Mellencamp) Hubbard with the support of many members of the Mellencamp family.
Today, Lydia Grove is home to outdoor/pavilion weddings and private events at The Lydia. It also offers seasonal agritourism experiences, live music events, and a growing estate wine and brewery program with an on-site tasting room for Lydia Grove Estate Wine and The Grove Brewery beer. Each offering is guided by a simple philosophy: to create meaningful experiences that feel natural, welcoming, and unhurried.
Whether visiting for a celebration, a seasonal event, or a glass of wine, Lydia Grove is a place to slow down, connect, and gather — year after year.

At The Lydia, weddings are designed to feel effortless and personal. Our open-air reception pavilion allows couples to celebrate surrounded by the landscape— with the flexibility, comfort, and elegance of a fully supported event space.
Every detail, from layout to lighting to service flow, is thoughtfully planned to create a seamless experience for couples and guests alike.
Wedding Investment
Wedding (arch or loft area): $1500
Includes bench-style seating at arch or chairs in loft. Additional fees apply for service and linens.
1-day access, the day of event.
Reception (pavilion area): $5000
Includes tables and chairs. Additional fees apply for service, beverages, and linens.
2-day access, the day prior and the day of event.
Wedding and reception package: $6000
Includes tables and chairs/benches. Additional fees apply for service, beverages, and linens.
2 day access, the day prior and the day of event. Includes access to the second level of the historic tasting room barn for pictures, getting ready, and other pre-event needs.
Up to 350 guests, Additional charges apply for more than 350 guests
Tasting room (barn) Reception: $1500
We offer rehearsal dinners in our tasting room for an additional fee.
All rentals require a damage deposit
